Privacy Statement Ticketcounter
Ticketcounter takes your privacy seriously and describes in this privacy statement how this is realised.
Personal data we process
Ticketcounter processes personal data about you, the consumer. We facilitate the sale of online tickets on behalf of day recreation parks (‘Partners’ such as zoos and amusement parks). In this relationship, the Partner is primarily responsible for the data, where Ticketcounter collects and processes that data on their behalf.
We use that data to facilitate the online purchase of one or more tickets for the purpose of admission to the park in question, to subsequently issue that ticket and, if necessary, to assist you by phone or email.
Below is an overview of the personal data we process:
– first and last name
– date of birth
– address
– data required for use of the desired payment method including account number (or part thereof)
– phone number
– email address
Our services are integrated with those of our partners but have some specific characteristics. We request and process only data necessary for the purchase of a ticket. Some of that data we send to a payment service provider approved by the Dutch Bank for payment processing.
Other data
Only after agreement with our partners can we, partly on behalf of them, store data for which you have first given your own permission by means of an ‘opt-in’. The purpose will always be mentioned. We do not process these data but make them available to the party to whom you have given permission.
Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors younger than 16 years. Unless they have permission from parents or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children’s online activities in order to prevent the collection of data about children without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without such consent, please contact us through the Data Protection Officer by emailing fg@ticketcounter.eu, and we will delete this information to the extent permitted.
How long we keep data
Ticketcounter will not keep your personal data longer than strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which your data is collected. Our retention period is by default: 14 months after December 31 of the year in which you ordered the tickets, unless a different period is agreed with our partner (responsible for the data). They ultimately determine the retention period, which we will implement.
The payment processor engaged will retain data in accordance with the instructions of the Dutch Bank.
Sharing with others
Ticketcounter never sells your data to third parties and will only provide them if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. Or if you have consented to the provision by means of an active confirmation on your part.
With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Ticketcounter is responsible for collecting and processing data on behalf of our partner. Our partner bears primary and ultimate responsibility for the personal data we collect and process for them.
Webshops
Ticketcounter implements webshops on websites of its partners. This may involve the use of functional, analytical and tracking cookies under the responsibility of the partner. A cookie is a small text file which is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. Ticketcounter uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These cookies ensure that the website works properly, for example your preferences can be remembered and that helps us to make the website work properly. It also allows us to optimize our website.
During your first visit to a website of one of our partners, they have already informed you about these cookies and asked permission to place them.
You can opt out of cookies by setting your Internet browser to no longer store cookies. In addition, you can also delete any information previously stored through your browser settings.

Accessing, modifying or deleting data
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can send a request for inspection, correction or deletion to fg@ticketcounter.eu. To make sure that the request for inspection is made by you (yourself), we ask you to send us an email from the email address you used to communicate your data to us (which was used when purchasing tickets). This is to protect your privacy. Ticketcounter will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than four weeks.
Security and Legislation
Ticketcounter takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. We do this in accordance with current legislation, namely the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG).
If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact our data protection officer at fg@ticketcounter.eu or via our customer service at info@ticketcounter.nl.
